University Teacher in Fine Art- Practice 
0.25 Part time (Fixed term) 3 years

Fine Art at Loughborough offers a vibrant, creative, and critical environment that explores the possibilities of contemporary fine art practice and theory. Through the medium of drawing, painting, sculpture and print, photography, video and sound, digital media and interdisciplinary activities, students will develop an exciting and diverse body of work. 

 

We are seeking a passionate, practicing artist actively engaged in the contemporary art world to inspire and guide students on their journey to becoming professional practitioners in the field of fine art. The successful applicant will bring invaluable insights and real-world perspectives from their ongoing artistic career, enriched by current exhibitions, collaborations, and contributions to the contemporary art community. They will provide students with the confidence, experience, and skills necessary for thriving artistic careers, equipping them with transferable abilities for diverse employment opportunities or the pursuit of postgraduate qualifications. 

 

 Key Requirements: 

 

  • We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and highly organised individual who will work effectively and collaboratively within the Fine Art Team.
  • Experience of teaching Fine Art theory at a higher education level.   
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.    
  • Have a degree in a related subject or equivalent experience.
