About the role
Newcastle United Women are proud to have launched a newly formed Academy, and we’re looking for a passionate and highly organised Academy Operations Lead to help shape its future. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in building a high-performing, safe, and compliant academy environment from the ground up. Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Support the Academy Manager in establishing and embedding operational and logistical frameworks.

Manage day-to-day logistics, facilities, health & safety, and venue operations.

Oversee registration, governance, and compliance processes for the Professional Game Academy.

Maintain accurate player and staff records, systems, and audit-ready documentation.

Coordinate fixture scheduling, team travel, and venue arrangements.

Act as the first point of contact for parents and stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional communication.

Organise special events including induction evenings and tournaments.

Ensure safeguarding policies are upheld across all academy operations.
Essential requirements:

Degree in Sports Management or equivalent.
-
GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above).

Business Administration qualification or equivalent experience.

FA Safeguarding Children certification.

Experience in administrative management within a professional sports environment.

Strong organisational, communication, and project management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data systems.

Understanding of safeguarding and compliance in youth sport.
Desirable:
-
Knowledge of the women’s football development pathway.

Experience in budget management and strategic planning.
Location
This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with an expectation of working 3 days per week from the office. Please note, if you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
