We are seeking an Engineer (or equivalent related field) with a background in mathematical modelling and simulation for a KTP Associate position based at ioMosaic International, based in central Bath.
About the role
This Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) will bring together an exciting combination of expertise in artificial intelligence and chemical engineering to deliver a new tool for simulations and decision-making in process safety engineering. The tool will deliver a step-change in the design of processing plants, improving safety and reducing environmental impact.
You will be working within ioMosaic to embed knowledge through this innovation project, with academic support from the University of Bath.

ioMosaic Corporation is a rapidly growing company providing consulting services in the areas of process safety and risk management in the oil, gas, petrochemical, chemicals and energy industries. About you
We want early career chemical engineers (or equivalent related field) with a passion for computational modelling and a drive to solve complex safety challenges. If you are curious, analytical, and ready to make a difference from day one, you will fit right in.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Master’s or PhD level qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical), Mathematics, Physics or Computer science or a related field.
- Experience or strong interest in programming, modelling, or simulation (e.g. Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with numerical or simulation tools such as but not limited to ANSYS Fluent , ASPEN, COMSOL, or OpenFOAM.
- Familiarity with AI and Machine Learning, and interest in developing these skills
- You will play a major role in the KTP and engage with multiple stakeholders, so must have excellent communication and organisational skills.
Further information
This is a full-time, in-person position based in central Bath. You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday annually, in addition to UK public holidays, working 8.45am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
This is a fixed-term opportunity for a period of 3 years.
