HGV Class 1 – Shunter Nights – Booker Retail Partners
Role Purpose: Primary role is to ensure that suitable vehicles are available for loads in the time / location / condition required to meet all legal / safety and customer requirements whilst fully adhering to Health & Safety policies and procedures.

- Will be required to work outdoors including in hours of darkness.
- Will be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Role can be physically demanding, especially with the number of times the individual will get in and out of a cab during a shift.
- Will need to be flexible in both attitude and be able to work varying shift patterns and hours (including at short notice).
You may be required from time to time to undertake such other duties as the business may reasonably require such as IDT’s or Class 1 – responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers stores.Â
Our Class 1 jobs do require handball and manual work which can be a physically demanding. This includes working outside in adverse weather conditions ad handballing product at some of the delivery points.
Class 1 Licence Holder
Driver CPC Holder
Ability to deliver excellent customer service
Experience of multi-drop; temperature controlled food deliveries preferred, but not essential
Routes vary daily and therefore successful applicants will need to be flexible in work and hours of work (including at short notice)
Shift Hours: 48 hours + potential 2h or more overtime hrs per week (48 hours per week which may include public holidays)
