An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Office Coordinator to join our Neurophysiology Team at St Peter’s Hospitals . 

The successful applicant will have the ability to work as part of the team in order to deliver high quality customer service, display excellent communication skills, and an understanding of delivering healthcare services. You will need to demonstrate commitment to care, quality and performance delivery. You must be a team player with the ability to problem solve and work independently.

Clinical Service Manager, Neurophysiology

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will work within the clinical office, providing clinical administrative coordination and support where it is needed. 

Responsibilities will include booking appointments, out coming appointments, general office duties consisting of filing, sorting post results, liaising with patients, GPs, hospital medical and clinical staff, dealing with enquiries by e-mail and telephone. In this role, colleagues are expected to support the department and organisation by carrying out any other duties that reasonably fit within the broad scope of a job of this grade and type of work.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent clerical and typing skills and will be able to communicate professionally and effectively with patients as well as clinical and non-clinical staff.

 

Knowledge of the clinical systems used at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust (including Solus, Cerner (Surrey Safe Care), Dictate IT and Evolve) essential.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Successful candidates need to hold an RSA, NVQ or equivalent typing/ computer skills with English GCSE as minimum and experience of using Microsoft Office package.

 

You need to have previous admin experience of working in a busy office dealing with conflicting demands. It is important in this role to be able to communicate effectively and take personal responsibility.
