Looking for a Chef Manager role that gives you your evenings and weekends back?
We’re recruiting for a Chef Manager at Swansea Vale, a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys running a quality catering operation, developing a team, and building strong client relationships.
This is a Monday to Friday operation serving breakfast and lunch, with a fresh and simple food offer including a deli bar, salad bar, and daily specials. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of the operation, maintain high standards, and ensure a great experience for both customers and the client.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the day-to-day catering operation
- Preparing and delivering a high-quality breakfast and lunch offer
- Leading, motivating, and developing your team
- Managing stock, ordering, food costs, and waste control
- Maintaining excellent standards of food quality, presentation, and service
- Completing reporting, audits, and compliance documentation
- Ensuring full compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety standards
- Building strong relationships with the client and acting as the key point of contact on site
- Driving a positive team culture and taking ownership of the operation
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, Catering Manager, or similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and develop a team
- Experience within contract catering or a similar high-volume environment
- A strong focus on compliance and maintaining standards
- Confident IT and administrative skills
- Excellent client and customer service skills
- A hands-on approach and a genuine passion for food and hospitality
