We’re looking for a creative and proactive Assistant Designer to join our Babywear team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 3 days per week. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and fast-paced design team, supporting the creation of commercially focused, trend-aware collections.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include
- Use product knowledge to source images, compile and layout Design Product Strategy (DPS) boards, identifying relevant trends.
- Research current and emerging trends, sharing ideas with the Design team to help ensure ranges are continually evolving and market leading.
- Support the Designer with the co-ordination of day-to-day activities.
- Collaborate with the Designers to meet critical path deadlines and deliver the right designs, at the right time.
- Create CAD’s using photoshop / illustrator to show true representation of product for range reviews and PLM tech packs.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
- Expert in the field of design with design experience within the Retail industry
- Experience in briefing and specifying direct design sourced product, working with Technology/Design and Buying to create high standards of Tech Packs.
- High level of proficiency in Design IT applications to optimise the quality of design work e.g., Photoshop, illustrator, CAD.
- Multitask orientated with the ability to work to tight deadlines to the Design and Buying critical path.
- Effective communication and influencing skills.
