Cleaning Manager

Salary: £37,000 per annum
Compass Group is looking for an experienced Cleaning Manager to lead and oversee our cleaning operations at a key London site. This is a pivotal role focused on delivering high-quality service, maintaining exceptional hygiene standards, and ensuring an efficient, well-managed operation.
As Cleaning Manager, you will take full responsibility for team leadership, operational performance, and customer satisfaction while continuously driving improvements across the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and compliance, ensuring all team members adhere to company and client policies
- Manage cleaning labour, equipment, and resource budgets effectively
- Drive continuous improvement across all cleaning operations
- Lead, engage, and develop the cleaning team to ensure high performance
- Oversee on-site accommodation services, including booking management
- Ensure all cleaning services meet agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and company standards
- Manage third-party suppliers and contractors, ensuring they deliver against expectations
About You
- At least 12 months’ experience managing a cleaning operation
- Demonstrated ability to grow and improve service delivery through strategic thinking, negotiation, and innovation
- Strong customer focus, with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- Excellent financial management skills, including budget planning and monitoring
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to meet tight deadlines
- A proactive mindset with a passion for driving continuous improvement
