This is a sales-driven, high-energy host role where confidence, charm and commercial instinct collide. You bring the buzz, spark curiosity, and effortlessly convert hellos into dinners, drinks and wow moments.

If you thrive on human connection, love food and drink culture, and can sell an experience without sounding like you’re selling, this one’s for you.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Engagement and Hosting

• Own the lobby like it’s your stage. Warm, confident, approachable and impossible to ignore

• Strike up conversations that feel natural, fun and genuine (no scripts, no cringe)

• Build instant rapport with guests from all walks of life

• Create irresistible intrigue around Tyburn Kitchen and Bow Bar

• Become the go-to person for insider tips, recommendations and “don’t-miss” moments.

Sales, Spark & Subtle Persuasion

• Confidently sell the experience – menus, vibes, cocktails, specials, the whole tasty package

• Drive walk-ins, encourage bookings and keep the covers rolling

• Read guests quickly and tailor your pitch like a pro

• Support occupancy, covers and spend per head through charm, timing and great conversation

Brand Personality & Presence

• Be a walking, talking ambassador for our restaurant and bar

• Look sharp, stylish and on-brand

• Bring energy, warmth and personality that reflects the soul of our venues

• Stay on top of menus, cocktails, events, promos and what’s hot right now

Dream-Team Collaboration

• Work seamlessly with Front Office and Venue Managers to manage flow and maximise opportunity

• Share guest insights, preferences and feedback with Food & Drink and Culinary teams

• Smoothly manage expectations and support service recovery when needed

• Be adaptable, solution-focused and always guest-first

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Experience in hospitality, sales or guest-facing roles

• A natural ability to engage, influence and connect with people

• Confident, polished communicator with great verbal skills

• Comfortable approaching guests proactively (you love it, actually)

• Genuine passion for food, drink and hospitality culture

Desirable

• Upselling or sales experience in hospitality or retail

• Solid knowledge of food, wine, cocktails and bar culture

• Experience in luxury, lifestyle or high-energy environment

The Kind of Person You Are

• Confident, charismatic and socially switched-on

• Naturally engaging with a cheeky, playful edge that still feels professional

• A touch of flair or flamboyance – extra points if you light up a room

• Polished, stylish and visually on point

• Resilient, adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment

• Warm, positive and always solution-focused

What Success Looks Like

• Increased walk-in traffic and covers at Tyburn Kitchen and Bow Bar

• Guests raving about their lobby experience and F&D recommendations

• Strong relationships with Front Office and F&D teams

• A buzzing, welcoming lobby that makes guests want to stay, dine, drink – and come back for more
